Burnett and Polk counties have several private shooting ranges that are accepting Members or are open to the public that offer a wide range of opportunities for people interested in competitive and informal leagues from youth .22lr to trap and sporting clays. They also offer ranges for sighting in your favorite deer rifle or just plinking at targets. Below are links to many of the area club’s websites.

Coyland Creek Sporting Clay & Game Preserve – We are a unique business nestled in the heart of beautiful northwest, WI. Our picturesque outdoor setting is ideal for the outdoor wedding of your dreams. We also run 610 acres of prime upland bird hunting land for pheasants and chuckar. To keep up on your shooting skills we have two adventurous, 50~target sporting clay courses for you to shoot, which are changed every other week to ensure our shooters always have a fun and challenging display of targets. Our cozy north-woods style clubhouse is equipped with a full beer, liquor and wine selection for sale. Also, the clubhouse has darts, pool, jukebox, snacks, pizzas, and a relaxing seating area inside and out for you to catch up with family and friends. Our newest addition to Coyland is our lodge “the Bunkhouse.” The bunkhouse has 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, full kitchen (equipped with appliances and utensils), living room, and conference room. It is beautiful and cozy and we are sure you will not want to leave!

Cushing Rifle Club – has pistol range, rifle range and two trap houses. We welcome anyone who is interested in becoming a Member of our Club. We have a Tuesday night trap league and host several trap shoots through out the summer. We are also very proud to be the home range of the St. Croix Saints School Trap Team who compete in the Wisconsin State High School Clay Target League
